I have a cavity. This is the third one I've ever had in my life. I think the last one I had filled was probably 28 years ago. I haven't been to the dentist in 3 years, and the time before that was 12 years, and before that it was high school. Oh well, it was a pretty good run. But I'm not the only one with problems. In one month our dentist recommends that 4 out of 5 Stockings get teeth filled. Also, Dr K. wants me to come back in 3 months for another cleaning. She said something about the ph in my mouth not creating cavities but producing calculus. Funny, when I was in school my brain never produced any calculus, why should my mouth start now? (Insert rimshot) Thank-you, thank-you and please no comments about cavities in my brain.
Make sure you ask The Other (Younger) Half why her next appointment is going to take an hour and mine will only take a half hour.

My appointment will take an hour due to my uncanny ability to be engagingly conversant, even with instruments in my mouth. They wish to have as much time with me as possible, but are bound by the constraints of insurance allowances. Therefore, they can ONLY schedule me for an hour. Otherwise it would have been a two hour appointment. With tea and finger sandwiches. And flossing. Really.
So dentists can now cure flapping jaw disease? I assume that is what you are talking about.
I don't think there is a cure for flapping jaw disease. Is this an inherited disorder? Or is it communicable? Have you been checked for symptoms, Scott? I think I read somewhere that it can also manifest itself in the fingers...
