1) I get to go home early today. The snow is coming down pretty hard, so I want to avoid rush hour, and I want to be able to get through the alley and into the garage before it is impassable. The old Taurus just doesn't have the clearance to get throught much snow. This is reason 1467 not to own a stupid SUV - got to get home before I get stuck.
2) Big snowstorms are best enjoyed from the comforts of one's own home. There's nothing like sitting in your comfy chair watching the snow fall with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Bonus points for snow after dark when you live in the city. The snow is illuminated by the street lights and the background noise of city life is dampened by the snow.
Looks like hamburgers tonight.
