The rest of day 6...

As we were riding up the mountain to the Great Wall I was to antsy to sit in my seat. The sky was blue, the sky was clear, and I had a camera. I was so worried that it was all too god to be true and that by the time I got to the top it would all be gone. And when we got to the top I saw a better sight. There was hardly anyone there! I had a great opportunity for photos without people and a blue sky, a photographers dream! At the top of the Great Wall we remembered that it was Grandma's birthday, so we quick got out Uncle Kent's cell phone and sang a very loud Happy Birthday from the Great Wall of China. For the next two hours we walked and walked. And I took tons of photos. After taking so many there is a hope that some will turn out. On the way back to the car we stopped at a few vendors. I had something I really thought Maddie and Anika might like so we went through three vendors until we got the price we wanted. I won't tell you what I got because it is supposed to be a surprise. After another hour and a half of driving we where finally back to our hotel in Beijing. We swam and swam until dinner. For dinner we went out to a restaurant that serves roast duck. To get there you have to go through the silk market. The silk market is a market in side huge building and on each floor you can buy something different. One floor is clothes another bags and so on. Walking through the market all you hear is vendors yelling laydee laydee how much you want, or I remember you I have a good price. A vendor even said that she remembered us, we had never seen her before. When we got to the restaurant we where able to see the cook cut up the duck right at our table. When we ate the duck we first dunked the duck into soy sauce, and then put it onto a thin rice pancake. Then we added onions, and cucumbers. Then we wrapped it up like a burrito and ate it all up. It was delicious. I had never tasted duck before so this was my first time. And that is what our only full day in Beijing was like. I will write about day seven soon.
Lots of love,
Kysa
