And not just stupid in love, which I am. With her. My wife, I mean. You can ignore all the metaphysical musings from the last post. KyKy came home today, 24 hours earlier than we expected. So if you take that 29 hours subtract 24 and add 16 you get 21. I have no idea what the significance of that number is. As it turns out, The Other (Younger) Half had KyKy's return marked on the wrong day, Saturday the 7th. Maybe it was reasoned that since KyKy was scheduled to leave Friday at 10:00am on a 16 hour journey, she would be here on a Saturday. Enter the magic of the International Date Line. She left Friday morning, travelled 16 hours and returned, drumroll please, Friday afternoon. We just kept looking at that calendar with Saturday the 7th marked as her return date. It's funny how untruths, when reinforced often, can become accepted by those who are not thinking clearly. Take WMDs in Iraq for example. . . . (Sorry, I couldn't resist). Whatever. She's home now and we are all one big happy family again. Simply loverly.
Plus she brought presents home from China.

His wife makes HER stupid! How can two intelligent-enough, college-educated people sit and debate such a discordant time difference/conundrum without ONCE landing on the fact that maybe they had the arrival time wrong??? Honestly. We truly win the Worst Parents of the Month award, hands down, for not even picking up our child at the airport. We've started a counseling account for her, and even started a list of suggested topics to be discussed with a therapist.
