You know, I have plenty to whine about... I know this because I do it quite frequently in my head... but apparently I can't whine on demand.
I know the one about the kids missing the bus... my own kids did it just the other week, when I had to go to work early and they had to get themselves on the bus. They've done it plenty of times in the past, so I don't know what prompted me that morning to tell Maren, for the first time ever, "If you miss the bus, go to the neighbors and ask for a ride to school." So, they missed the bus and Caleb is in the house ranting and hitting the table and Maren says, "Mom said we should go to the neighbors if we miss the bus." So that's what they did... and they weren't even late.
Incidentally, it was MY fault they missed the bus - I set the timer to remind them when to go out, and I set the wrong time.
